Brahman BBQ Battle (Rockhampton) – Results

logoA huge thanks to the team at The Smoking Yak and Promoters for the Brahman BBQ Battle Matthew & Fiona Noakes for allowing the ABA to sanction another awesome competition.

This exhibition-style event showcased some of the best of the Queensland teams for the International Brahman Conference (complete with international visitors) and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

You couldn’t get a more Aussie name in the Grand Champions – the Flamin’ Mongrels – who picked up their first major win after some great past efforts. The boys were over the moon with their win and there may have been a tear or two of joy from a few who witnessed their elation at the major call up.

Double Barrel BBQ featured very well again and took out Reserve Grand Champions to continue their smoking hot streak.

In a tightly contested field, most teams received a call up and the 50 Shades of Pork became the first ever Brahman Hump Champions and took home some solid cash and some serious bragging rights for their first place effort.
