Barbeques Galore Leaderboard Update

Round 24 of the Barbeques Galore Australian Barbecue Championships saw the largest barbecue competition outside of the US, with 96 teams competing in beautiful Port Macquarie for the Blues & BBQ Festival’s, Buffalo Trace Australian BBQ Wars.

Barbecue Mafia stole the show with an epic display of consistency to take the Grand Championship and Smoking Coals Barbecue were best of the rest, picking up a Reserve Grand Championship.

The leaderboard took a hit with 79 teams already scoring themselves a National Ranking for 2018 by competing 3 or more times this season already.

The number of teams continue to grow with more than 270 teams now competing in Australia and New Zealand under the ABA Sanction, which is already about 70 more than last year, so far.

Natural Born Grillers from the Que Club in Melbourne moved into the Top 10 with a huge aggregate of 975 points and recent GC winners Rollin Smoke BBQ are in with a real shot of knocking off the Jokers and the good Doctors who occupy the top two spots, for now.
